(Jan. 11, 2012) - Former William and Mary standouts Alex Gottlieb and Jake Trantin will participate in the Casino Del Sol College All-Star game this Monday at 6 p.m. (PST) at Kino Stadium in Tucson, Ariz. Both Gottlieb, a tight end, and Trantin, a linebacker, will be members of the Stars (East) roster.

A two-time All-America selection, Gottlieb finished his career with 75 receptions for 905 yards with five touchdowns. Additionally, the two-time first-team all-conference honoree averaged 12.1 yards per reception during his four years at the College.

As a senior, Gottlieb ranked second on the team with 33 receptions for 424 yards with a touchdown, while his average of 12.8 yards per catch ranked just outside the league's top 10.      After garnering preseason All-America honors this fall, Trantin posted a solid 2011 campaign in which he ranked second on the team with 84 tackles. One of his best efforts came at Delaware when he totaled a season-high 12 tackles, while he posted 10 stops in the season opener at Virginia and against Towson.
